Rasaraja Dasa

Brief Bio

Rasaraja dasa is the director of the Bhaktivedanta Institute (http://bvinst.edu/) at Mumbai and Berkeley. He combines an in-depth training in both science and religion. After obtaining his Bachelors degree in electronics engineering from Annamalai University, and Masters from BITS, Pilani, he moved to USA where he did projects for a number of Fortune-500 companies including General Motors, Ford, Chrysler, Burroughs and IBM as a freelance software specialist in the areas of operating system design, data communications and very-large database design. He then turned to academics, and obtained his Ph. D. in philosophy (foundations of quantum mechanics) from the University of Mumbai. He is an active scientist, developing his own version of macroscopic quantum mechanics. He has more than 35 research publications in peer-reviewed journals and book anthologies. He is also an ordained Vaishnava monk for more than thirty five years in the Gaudiya Vaishnava tradition, and is a disciple of His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Srila Prabhupada, who has founded ISKCON and the Bhaktivedanta Institute. His popular articles on science can be obtained here.
